The Essex-Middle River Renaissance Corporation invites you to participate in the creation of a revitalization plan for your community. This process is community-driven, by you and your neighbors. UDAT, Urban Design Assistance Team, is a talented group of professional architects and designers who will be focusing their creative energies on our community with the goal of helping us make it a better place to live, work and play. Our community is one of three in the entire state to be selected to participate in this exciting process. The UDAT team helps us identify ideas and solutions for present and future community improvements that you would like to see in your neighborhoods, rather than those dictated by others. As a member of your community, you know your neighborhood best. Ask yourself three questions: What would you ……….preserve………...create………..change? With your help and involvement, we can achieve positive improvements by developing a plan that would best serve the concerns of our neighborhoods. Your community needs you, your ideas, your creativity and financial support. The bulk of the costs associated with this creative process will be funded through a grant. Many businesses and community organizations will be donating food, lodging , office supplies and transportation but a small fundraising campaign is also necessary. It is important our communities contribute in every way to achieve the goals you have helped identify. The people who live, work and play in our communities….. along with the businesses that serve them, have an interest in improving the Essex-Middle River area. Your participation will help ensure the enhancement and future well being of your communities for you….…..your children and their children.
