Committees

In order to facilitate the creation of a community-endorsed plan, we have formed three committees based on geographic boundaries. The following committees will facilitate public meetings to bring area residents, businesses, institutions, and government together to create a workable plan for our communities.

• Downtown Essex - Gateway to Gateway, Chair - Gary Jennings

  Includes: Back River Bridge to intersection of Essex-Middle River Gateway to Chesapeake Sign

• Back River Neck Road Corridor, Chair -

  Includes: Country Ridge Shopping Center, Kingsley Park, Josenhan's Corner, and Park at Tall Trees

• Middle River Bridge to MD 43 Gateway, Co-Chairs Steve Verch and Julie Gaynor

  Includes: Triangle Park, Middle River Bridge, Hawthorne (North and South), Leland Avenue, Martin's Lagoon and Wilson Point, MARC Station and GSA Depot

The following functional committees were also formed:

• Finance, Chair - Penelope Soteria
